Reflections & Shadows

The Alberta Society of Artists invites all artists in Alberta (must be 18 years of age or older) to submit to the exhibition, “Reflections & Shadows.”    The content and meaning of this theme apply to an artist's Personal, Sociological, or Environmental reflections relating to such matters as change or dissent. The work can be about internal or other perceived issues relating to the phenomena of Reflection and Shadow.

The Alberta Society of Artists invites all artists in Alberta (must be 18 years of age or older) to submit to the exhibition, “Reflections & Shadows.”   

The content and meaning of this theme apply to an artist’s Personal, Sociological, or Environmental reflections relating to such matters as change or dissent. The work can be about internal or other perceived issues relating to the phenomena of Reflection and Shadow.     

A size limitation of 36″ in any direction (the maximum size of the artwork should not be more than 36”x36”). Two-dimensional and three-dimensional works are accepted. 

Important Dates

Submission Deadline: September 02, 2020

Notification of Results: September 16, 2020

Exhibition Dates: October 03 – 31, 2020

Opening Reception: TBD

Venue

Calgary Central Public Library: October 03 – Oct 31, 2020 (Exact dates to be determined)

*Note that although we have booked this exhibition for the Library, we may use alternate online means to display the artworks. Accepted artists will be notified of exact dates and be advised if the exhibition is online. For the security of images on the internet, we will assure the image size be reduced and that a copyright notice be placed in proximity to the image.
