Artist Statement

For me, the inspiration for a painting or a series of paintings, comes from one or more of the following
elements: the wonders of nature, the beauty of language; the mystery of memory and the transcendent
power of music. That being true, it’s the actual work in the studio, where curiosity and experimentation meet
brush, color and canvas, that results in a visual work that gives life to that which, up to that point, lives
only in my head.”
